<p>Want to do something different, fun and inspiring on the weekend?</p>
<p>Discover the HeART of Local ARt on this inspiring journey into the artists of St Kilda in their studio or gallery. Each tour includes 5 very different galleries.  You will meet the artists or curators in their space and become immersed in their stories whilst embracing the emotions the story creates, allowing you to connect with the Art on a deeper level.</p>
<p>Meet like-minded art and wine lovers and enjoy connecting over a glass of wine. Plenty of fun to be had along the way.<br />
This is an aspect of St Kilda that is almost undiscovered, offering an incredible diversity  and insight into quality art in a variety of mediums!</p>
<p>Ranging from abstract, contemporary or modern to bespoke lighting as well as two Indigenous galleries and a warehouse studio housing 20 artists in residence, as well as multi-cultural and hand-made crafts and jewellery, there’s something for everyone. You won’t be disappointed!</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Linden New Art is a public gallery set in the heart of St Kilda that specialises in displaying new and contemporary art.</p>
<p>The Gallery is a Council-owned facility, run by an independent incorporated board of management, Linden New Art Inc.</p>
<p>The gallery opened to the public in 1986. Housed in a Victorian mansion, Linden’s grand domestic building makes it a unique place to see, explore and discuss contemporary art.</p>
<p>The annual exhibition program features work from artists across Australia and overseas.</p>
<p>Exhibitions change every eight weeks and are supported by a range of dynamic programs to allow visitors to learn about, debate and question contemporary art. Opportunities to meet artists and curators are regular features of the programs.</p>

<p><span id="more-7877"></span></p>
<p>The largest language school for French in Victoria it offers courses for adults, teenagers and children in St Kilda and the CBD.</p>
<p>Enjoying the patronage and support of the French Embassy in Canberra the AFM, is the only French cultural centre in Victoria. It organises major cultural events each year, such as the French Film Festival in March, the Bastille Day Festival in July and the French Christmas Market in December, as well as the annual Berthe Mouchette poetry competition that has been running since 1894. A varied program of exhibitions from local or international artists is regularly presented in our art gallery in St Kilda, and concerts, conferences and film screenings punctuate the cultural calendar all year round. The multimedia library in St Kilda includes thousands of French books, CDs and DVDs as well as a dedicated section for students with resources to enhance their French language learning.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Gasworks Arts Park is a vibrant arts precinct producing a range of high-quality arts programs, workshops and activities for all ages.<br />
<span id="more-2578"></span>Situated in Albert Park, Melbourne, on the site of the former South Melbourne Gas Plant, Gasworks is just three kilometres from the CBD and the precinct houses four hectares of park, two theatres, three gallery spaces, a café, as well as function and workshop spaces.</p>
<p>Gasworks has sixteen resident visual artists and a small team of professional staff who work to present an annual program of festivals and events including seasons with some of Melbourne’s prominent arts festivals, farmers’ markets, classes and workshops, creative and professional development opportunities for artists, children’s programming and more. In addition, over 200 performing arts events and 30 visual arts exhibitions are presented in the venue each year.<br />
